These terms cover your use of backlitlabs.com, operated by Backlit Labs in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas. By using the site, you agree to them. Paid work is covered by a separate written agreement, and if that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins.

Information on this site

We try to keep everything here accurate and current, but it's provided for general information. Package descriptions summarize what's included; the exact scope of any project is set out in your written proposal.

Pricing

Prices are listed in US dollars and may change. The price that applies to you is the one in the proposal you accept. Custom work is quoted after an audit. Third-party usage costs, such as phone minutes or text messages, are explained in your proposal before you sign.

Concept designs

The "Work" section shows concept designs created by Backlit Labs to illustrate design directions for different kinds of businesses. They are not client projects and do not represent, or imply endorsement by, any real business. Sample screens such as the "signal trace" and dashboard mock-up are illustrative only.

The free audit

Requesting an audit is free and doesn't commit you to anything. The audit is our professional opinion based on what we can see publicly and what you tell us. It isn't a guarantee of any particular result.

No guarantees of results

We build websites and automations to help you capture and convert more enquiries, but we can't promise specific rankings, call volumes, bookings or revenue.

Text messaging

Text features require A2P 10DLC registration with US carriers, which is outside our control and can take days to weeks. Your business is responsible for having appropriate consent to text its own customers.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the site: no automated scraping of the form, no attempts to break or overload it, and no submitting other people's details without their permission.

Intellectual property

The site design, text and graphics belong to Backlit Labs unless noted otherwise. Open-source components and fonts are used under their own licenses.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Backlit Labs isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
